Nike’s giant World Cup balls up…
Leicester-based Ratcliffe Fowler Design helped Nike create a sculpture out of 5,500 footballs in a South African shopping centre
Ball Man stands 20 metres high in the Carlton Mall Atrium in Johannesburg. He is the centrepiece of a Nike installation promoting the firm’s kits and boots for the World Cup. He is also the result of over a year’s work by Ratcliffe Fowler and Nike’s Global Creative Football team.
The sculpture is up until the end of the tournament, after which there are plans to give the balls to local schoolchildren.
The ‘hand of Sean’ font is omni present were ever I go it pops up all over the place… I do love it though!
Just stumbled across the new mac mini on the apple store, top notch industrial design as you’d expect but with a bit of a change of direction re accessing the insides. I remember upgrading the memory on the original mac mini a couple of years back, complete nightmare compared to this nicely thought out alternative.

Excellent packaging design for this A Team box set, looks great in the flesh. Now just to get it’s purchase past the accountants as ‘research’.
